The stump garden surrounds an old stump from an ash tree I took out years ago. It is full sun and on a slope. This year, bee balm, daisies, foxglove, petunias, heliopsis and black-eyed susans are the stars. A path divides it and I have a large patch of delphiniums, centaurea and a carpet rose on the other side. I use the stump to display a large washtub of annuals that vary year to year.
